One of the refresher that I usually miss whenever the prickly heat hits me is the cheese-flavored shake from my Alma Mater PUP. I already blogged about my food adventure from my school in my post entitled “My College Memories: PUP Foods.”

Since this is easy to make, I am always able to satisfy my cravings.

Last Sunday, before my family’s lunch bonding, I wanted this shake. So, I grabbed a cheese from our local store. I am lucky enough that the market is near our place, so I am able to buy some tapioca pearls.

My brother and sister who also graduated from PUP instantly recognized the shake. We then started the throw back stories. We talked about the foods, refreshments and many more enjoyable things we can look back to.

Cheese Shake Recipe

Cheese shake recipe with tiny tapioca pearls.

This cheese shake recipe features tiny tapioca pearls, unlike those coolers with huge and sticky.

This Cheese Shake Recipe can serve nine to 10 people.


  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 cups shaved ice
  • Tapioca pearls (follow your desired size) – boil in syrup

Tools Needed:

  • Blender


  1. Combine water, cheese and sugar in the blender. Blend for about 10 seconds.
  2. Add ice. Blend until the ingredients mix with ice.
  3. Add milk. Blend until smooth.
  4. Serve with tapioca pearls.
  5. Enjoy.
