Eat Well at Bonifacio Taguig Review

| On 08, Jan 2013

Eat Well menu.jpg

It is my first time to eat at Eat Well. I’m not really a fan of Chinese cuisine but I don’t have a choice since my officemates want to spend our lunch here. When we entered, I right away noticed that the restaurant is small. And one thing, why does all the Chinese restaurants I’ve been too have small plates? I hate this. It makes me go back and forth getting food.  Anyway, what we did order were:

Lechon kawali Hong Kong style, roasted duck, sliced beef with broccoli in oyster sauce, siomai and yang chow rice.

Lechong kawali Hongkong style

I love the lechon itself. I personally ordered this which is funny because I can eat this anywhere and they say that I need to try something different which other restaurants don’t offer. I think I’m playing safe and as I’ve said, I am not a fan of Chinese restaurants. It ended up that I made a right choice with ordering lechon because it was served very well. You won’t even have a hard time slicing it too. I just didn’t get how come it’s called “the Hong Kong style” when it doesn’t taste very different at all. I didn’t like the sauce for the lechon though, it tastes too sweet. Maybe it’s the sauce that made it a Hong Kong style one? I don’t know.

The roasted duck tastes fine but is something I won’t look forward to eat again. For me it doesn’t taste special.

The rice, Oh I must say what I like about Chinese restaurants is the way they cook and serve rice. It’s so yummy it can be eaten alone! It’s actually the rice that made me eat a lot.

Sliced Beef

The siomai tastes good too.

So let’s talk about the restaurant itself. It was located at the G/F Unit C Net Quad Bldg, 30th St Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. So there, I noticed the first floor is quite small and that it needs a little refurnishing. The wall papers are cracked and you can really notice that. I also didn’t like their kitchen, it’s got a small one where they do the real cooking, different from the one viewable from the outside which I believe is more of a show off. That is not impressive either. The waitresses and waiters are very attentive and we didn’t wait a long time for our order. The price of the food also seems worth it. The servings are good for sharing between 2-4 people.

So to sum it up, here’s their rating I will give them in which a 5 star means perfect:

Service *****

Food ***

Price ****

Ambiance***
