Jollibee Grilled Pork Tenders
A guy in love with his girlfriend and giving her everything, but when it comes to pork barbecue he gave her girlfriend the hard one. That is the new commercial of the Jollibee. Then, they segued with their new grilled pork barbecue and promised it’s delicious and very tender.
Jollibee claimed that their barbecue is marinated in special sauce, grilled to perfection and consistently tender.
Last January 5, after buying some stuffs for me, I decided to try this one out. I took it out in the Jollibee at the Ever Gotesco Commonwealth, ground floor.
I’ve never been a fan of Jollibee, but in fairness to them, they are fast, the place is clean and quite impressive. When, I go to the branch, the line was long, but because they crews were fast, I didn’t stay that long.
The Price and Packaging
The non-meal of Jollibee’s Pork Tenders is worth P65.00 while the meal with drinks is worth P85.00. For me, it’s a little expensive for the quantity. I even asked my sister if that was expensive for her and she said yes.
Of course, this comes in a styro package and inside was the rice and pork barbecue with soy sauce on a separate plastic gravy container with free 1 piece of Calamansi (Citrus). I took the orders out as I wanted to share this one to my nieces.

The Pork: Looks, Taste and Texture
If you will going to look at the pork, you will notice that there are some cuts all over the place and based on my culinary knowledge that technique is used to make meat tender. This process breaks the tissues and muscles around the meat by hitting it with knife several times to make it softer.
My sis, two nieces loved it. They said, it’s tocino like and it very soft.
Yeah, for me, it’s soft and like tocino, but I never found anything special about this barbecue. I can even buy more delicious freshly charcoal-grilled pork barbecue just few steps from our house.

As I said, there’s nothing special about this barbecue and for me, it’s not even worth my P85.00 for few strips of this meat. For P85.00 I can buy 1/4 kilo of pork, calamansi, ketchup, sugar, pepper and I can make my own barbecue. It is also grilled using an electric griller and not using charcoal therefor not that impressed. I even enjoyed the beef with mushrooms more.
I suggest that Jollibee should consider to look for street side pork barbecues, so they can have ideas of what am I saying. Moreover, they should also add more citrus flavors to the pork as for me, I really found it plain.
I will soon post some of my barbecue recipe and you guys will be the judge.
