Simple Grilled Pork Chop Recipe

There are two things that I think that need some apologies. Firstly, the “no update” on this blog since the latter part of November and secondly, my grammar errors.
The “no updates” here is because of my news blog, which is Philippines Daily. This just received tremendous amount of traffic that is a co-incident to my writer leaving me. So, I am all alone updating my blogs.
For the grammar errors, I admit, I’m not good at it. But since I love to share my experiences, recipes and opinions, I still continue.
Anyway, just this Sunday, I was asked to cook our pork belly. They said to me that we should also go back to basic as they just got fed up with those sweet ones. So, to grant their request, I made a simple grilled pork chop.
- 1/2 kilo pork belly (liempo)
- 1/2 cup water
- Juice from one lemon
- 3 cloves garlic – pounded
- ground pepper
- Mix water, lemon juice and garlic.
- Season the pork with salt and set aside for five minutes.
- Pour the marinade to the pork, massage and let it marinate for an hour.
- Grill until cooked.
I recommend that you ask the butcher to slice your pork belly thin. So, it will absorb the flavor well and at the same time, will easily cook.
